2-Cock Sta. Rita Derby

Today, June 28 (posting date is in US time) is the 2-Cock Sta. Rita Derby. Team Ebok Ala-Eh will be there to join the derby. We will be pitting our two derby winners, one from the 3-Cock derby at San Pascual last April 28 and one from last June 2 at Taal Coliseum. Hope we win the championship tonight. I'll keep you posted on the results.

Here are the videos of the sparring session last sunday night at HillSide Farm.

3-Cock Taal Results

It was a not-so-happy outcome at the recently concluded 3-Cock Taal Derby last June 2 at Taal Coliseum. Our entry name was EBOK ALA-EH BIRTHDAY KO (because it was my birthday that day..haha).

First, the derby started at past 9:30PM (almost 10PM) that night which the derby schedule said it would start at 7PM. When the derby started, there were other entries which hasn't come in yet because of the traffic due to fiesta on the places leading to Taal.

Second, it was a very humid that night that everybody was perspiring a lot even me..hahaha.

Now on the results...

It was a 1W-2L result for the team. Our first fight was with MOLAWIN entry. It was a fast fight which I think can be a candidate for fastest kill. Unluckily, it was our entry on the loosing end. The fight was quick and was decided on the initial blow. Our cock was unable to remove his knife (tari) on the opponent's body on the first buckle and was struck on the heart when the opponent retaliated on that instance. It was sad to see that part. But that's sabong. Whoever gives the first fatal blow always win.

Our second fight was a happy one for us (we won, of course..haha). Our opponent was SHAINE, the first opponent of my cousin's entry (HillSide) which they lost to. Our cock was a broodcock candidate which proves its worth on the pit. It was not aggressive (abang) and has a good fighting style. The first blow made it all (dapa agad ang kalaban). Then it only took a few more hits (palo) before it ended.

Our last fight was an unluckily fight again. We were up against MOJAVE and MA. VICTORIA entry (CAB members mojave and dexter96 entry). They were only one win away from bagging the championship. The initial buckle proves to be the deciding factor. Our cock was hit at its waist and was already off-balance and so was unable to hit properly. But our cock did well. I learned that our opponent's cock was from Chongkee Uy, a very well-known big time cocker/breeder.

The derby finished at about 5AM already and arrived at Batangas City past 6AM. It was a great experience and a lot of fun too.
